About Me
Hello! My name is Molly and I am a Kiwi who permanently lives in the UK with my British partner and our lovely 1.5 year old, Darcy. We live in West Berkshire, in a farm house on a National Trust estate. Jack, my partner and I, both work in London c. three days a week when we commute on an early train (c. 7am) and return in the evening (6pm). We work form home the other two days where we can be flexible in working times but are both in full time work. We have had the privilege of having my Mother be our daughter's nanny this year and she has lived with us, looking after Darcy during the week. We need to replace Mum when she heads back to NZ in early 2026. Darcy attends informal playgroups each morning during the week but has not been in nursery yet. We plan on enrolling her in a local nursery when she is two (10 March 2026, she will be 2) and she will attend 3 or 4 days a week.
My Requirements
We have a two bedroom, two bathroom, self contained Annex on our property and propose to have a nanny come and live with us. We would be open to also having the Nanny's partner if she/he has one. We would need someone to get Darcy out of bed (7am) and be her sole caregiver the three days a week we are in London for work (until 6pm), noting that once she is two some days Darcy will be in nursery and we will only need our nanny to drop her off and be on hand in case Darcy is ill.
The other days, we have a flexible morning with Darcy and our Nanny would join us c. 8:30am for Darcy's breakfast and likewise look after her (or run drop off and pick up) until c. 5:30pm for Darcy's bath.
On the rare occasion Jack and I both have to stay in London on a weeknight, we would ideally like coverage on those nights as well. In this year this has only happened once.
