About Me
Hi, I’m Jess, I am a Mum of 2 and an Ofsted registered childminder.
I have worked in childcare for 17 years in multiple different roles. From this I feel I am able to offer children a warm, loving, fun environment to play, learn and grow in. I have a real home from home environment (smoke free) where the children are able to feel safe exploring and learning. I have a good understanding of the EYFS and love doing arts and crafts activities. I love spending time in the garden, with lots of different toys and resources such as sand pit, ride on cars, and a Wendy house. I love going on outings to places such a Mote Park, Bearsted Woodland walk and Kent Life.
My Experience
I previously worked in a nursery for 13 years, working with children from 3 months-4 years old. I started as a play worker, working around my college hours and then went on to being a nursery nurse, eventually working my way up to being Deputy Manager of a baby unit for 5 years.
I then went on to work as an Early Help Support Worker. This involved running stay and play groups at the children’s centres, including baby sensory and SEN group. I also spent time working 1-to-1 with families with any areas they need additional support with.
My previous role I was a private Nanny for 2 years. I looked after two children and was in sole charge of planning our daily routine, carrying out activities, taking them in enriching outings as well as doing pre-school/school runs.

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in ChildCare and Education
The Education People’s Kent Pre-Childminder course
TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health
Paediatric first aid training
Designated safeguarding lead training
Level 2 food hygiene

I am available from 7.30-5.30
