About Me
I have been a registered childminder in East Finchley for 15 years. I aim to provide a warm, loving environment in which children can develop confidence, make friends and learn new skills. I have a musical background and incorporate this with a daily song /music time with instruments. I believe in good routine so we also spend time outdoors, in the garden or local parks, so children can expend their energy and explore nature. We have tidy up time before meals and before the end of the day, and story time after lunch, although we read stories throughout the day as well! I prepare a variety of freshly cooked food and fruit for snacks. I give written or feedback in person to parents after every session, so we can work together to ensure that your child thrives.

My Availability
I am available from 7.30am to 6.30pm on
Mondays , Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and from 7.30am to 3pm on Thursdays, and Fridays. Funded childcare for 9 months old, and 2-year olds. Tax free childcare is also available.

Sophie looked after both my two children over more than a decade, full time from the age of nine months and then providing after-school care until they reached secondary school. She is loving, intelligent and kind - and always full of ideas for activities and places to go. My children remain very fond of her - would highly recommend

Sophie looked after both my children from babies until they started school nursery and I feel so lucky we found her! She works so hard to create a nurturing and safe environment in her home while also heading out to explore the local parks and playgrounds regularly. She is actively involved with the children in her care, creating opportunities to play. Both my children were very happy with her. My daughter especially loved the singing and music sessions. And Sophie supported my son's passion for trains by finding good trainspotting places!
Communication was great. She would always feed back at collection time and share photos of their day. She is calm and warm in her approach while also holding firm boundaries for safety. I truly do recommend her wholeheartedly.

Sophie has been looking after my son for the past three years, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better childminder. She is caring, patient, and incredibly reliable. From day one, she made my son feel comfortable and happy, he absolutely loves spending time with her.
Sophie goes above and beyond to create a nurturing, fun, and safe environment. She plans lovely activities that keep the children engaged and learning, and she’s always great at communicating about their day. She’s also very approachable and flexible, which has been such a help for our family.
I’m so grateful for everything Sophie has done for us. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough to any parent looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely wonderful with children
