About Me
I live in Putnoe. I live with my husband and have 2 children, my girl is 4 and my boy is 2. And how different they both are!
There is a play room leading to a secure garden, a dining room equipped with table, chairs, booster seats, high chair and a toddler table with chairs. I also have a front room which I try and keep more as educational toys. I have a messy play room to use for painting, sticking, water play, sand play etc. I have a travel cot to use for naps as well as mats for the floor.
I also enjoy going out and exploring. With my children, we’ve visited farms, parks, zoos, libraries, groups, soft plays and play cafes.
Preferably I am looking for term time only children. But could bend that for a couple of days here and there in school holidays. Ideal hours 8-4, or somewhere in between.
My Experience
I qualified with a Diploma in Childcare and Education Level 3 in 2008. I then worked in private nurseries for 10 years, swapping to EYFS, Reception and Key Stage One. I also have experience with SEN through out my working journey. I then also have my two children. As well as being auntie to many.
My Qualifications
I have a Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education Level 3.
I have done many safeguarding courses and first aid courses over the years. I keep upto date with these. The latest, I have completed an FGM course (30.10.25), paediatric first aid courses 12hr (08.11.25).
My Availability
Ideally times between 8am and 4pm, or somewhere in between. As this gives us ample time to go out and explore.
I am able to do school drop offs and pick ups for Putnoe Primary, Church Lane.
My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
£7.50 per hour
Or government funding.

While we have only just started using Lauren and have only had a few settling-in sessions so far, we have been so impressed with just how welcoming she has made her home and the relationship she has already built with our little one.
Lauren has an excellent array of resources and toys to keep him entertained. This also includes her own creative ‘messy’ play ideas our son has enjoyed so much. On top of this, he has also enjoyed outdoor activities in her garden and already a few little excursions after just a couple of weeks.
The most important aspect, of course, is just that kindness and warmth towards our son, which has made him settle in so much quicker than expected. Already, it is a place he is very happy in and excited to go to every week. What more could you ask for?
Leaving your two year old with someone is never easy, but actually we can’t believe just how quickly he has acclimatised and settled and now we have that all-important piece of mind going forward.

We are thrilled we chose Lauren as our childminder for our youngest son.
Lauren goes above and beyond to organise fantastic activities, outings and experiences for the children.
The space Lauren works in is brilliant, spacious and versatile for the children with lots of different spaces for different types of play and weather.
She is a caring, kind, professional childminder with a wealth of knowledge in the childcare and education sector.
I highly recommend Ren’s Rainbows.

Lauren is an absolute superstar. She’s been so accommodating to my family’s needs and has been amazing at communicating between myself and my daughter’s dad. Her provision is always sensory forward and my daughter loves the toys she has available too. Would highly recommend!

Lauren is truly amazing. She always sets up the best activities be it crafts, messy play or just imaginative play my son can’t wait to get involved. Having lots of experience in schools and nursery settings Lauren is great communicating with children and helping them to achieve their full potential
