About Me
I am Nancy and I have recently left sixth form. I studied A-level maths, economics and politics. I was also an elite level athlete who trained 20 hours a week at the Olympic pool in Stratford doing springboard diving. I am a very focused and patient individual with an incredibly resilient personality. Currently I work teaching young children how to dive at Hornchurch leisure Centre.
My Experience
this summer I worked as a camp counsellor in New York. During this, I was a lifeguard during pool hours and a general counsellor during the rest of the day and night. I lived in with my campers and was available to them 24 hours. I was tasked with things such as dealing with friendship issues, sitting with them at mealtimes, keeping them entertained during rainy days and ensuring they were showered and ready for bed by 10 pm. As previously mentioned I also work with children ranging from 4 to 16 years old teaching them how to dive, this includes a session with a non-verbal autistic child.
My Qualifications
Although I do not have any specific babysitting qualifications I do have both a basic and extended DBS. I have consistently worked with children since turning 16. I am also confident in working with children who have special needs. As well as this I completed food and nutrition GCSE, gaining a high grade 7 (out of 9) and so am also very competent in making meals.
