Hi! I’m Amy and I’m a 24 year old Primary School Teacher who is looking for a different opportunities outside of the classroom! I have lived in Glasgow for over 5 years, but originally a country girl from the Highlands. My hobbies and interests
include running and yoga, vinyls, baking the most difficult recipes I can find and a good coffee. I like to stay busy and I’m looking for a family that I can support and most of all have lots of fun with! I’m a big sister to 4 wild girls, so very used to having a baby in the home and newborn care is something I would love to get stuck in with too.
My Experience
I have over 7 years experience of working with children and young people in a variety of roles including time as a Primary School Teacher! Previous to teaching, I worked as a Barista for four years alongside my degree, and as a Support Worker for Children and Young People with Additional Support Needs. I have extensive experience working with children from all walks of life and backgrounds, including those who speak English as an Additional Language and additional support needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and Down’s Syndrome. I also have previous experience of nannying two wonderful siblings aged 2 and 5 through this app, however I have made a new account as the one thing I am not skilled in is remembering passwords! I am not fully Montessori trained, however I have 5 years of theory experience studying Maria Montessori. Therefore, I have an in depth understanding of how to apply this to practice, if this is something that you are looking for. I also have experience working through a play-based curriculum and an understanding of using play for learning, at various ages and stages!
My Qualifications
I hold a Master’s Degree in Education with a Primary Teaching Qualification from the University of Glasgow. Prior to this I have gained a HNC in Childhood Practice and developed an SVQ2 and 3 in Children and Young People. These qualifications have come with a range of placement experiences across Glasgow City, Highland and South Lanarkshire councils, and ages between P1-7. I have an up to date PVG check from this year and happy to provide. I do have a First-Aid certificate, however I would preferably like to have a refresher on this so that I feel super confident with it.
My Availability
I am currently full time employed and would be looking for a perfect fit before leaving my job to provide full time hours. However, I am available on the weekends, if a family would prefer to get to know me during that notice period. I have selected my availability to be flexible to families, therefore willing to have more of a chat about this to see what suits you!

- Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
