My name is Megan, and I am an actor who recently graduated from the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts with a BA Honors in Acting. Prior to my actor training, I was a competitive Irish Dancer for 6 years and still continue to practice my passion for dance now. As an actor: working as a team, empathy and building relationships with new people is part of my job, thus something I enjoy and comes very naturally to me.

• Growing up, I was always around children as my Mum worked in childcare her entire life, therefore this skill came naturally to me. Nevertheless, babysitting helped me combine the skill of childcare with; organisation, timekeeping and creating a positive environment that children can
thrive off of.

Irish Dance Teacher/Mentor
Workshop Leader | January 2022 - April 2022
• Using the skills I learnt whilst babysitting, I made sure to lead my classes with a positive and enthusiastic attitude for the young dancers. I used the knowledge I learnt in my 6 years of Irish Dancing to guide them in progressing further with their passion for dance. Their ages ranged from 5 all the way to 15, so it was pivotal I found a happy medium in being able to direct the class whilst also connecting with everyone.

• This job allowed me to combine the skills I learnt working as a babysitter and a workshop leader.
Using my acting skills, it also challenged my ability to keep them engaged as they were a very young group. This skill is easily transferrable to any job where you must keep the ‘customer’ engaged and interested.

I also have experience babysitting children under the age of 1 as I helped raise my two younger siblings who are now 7 and 8 :)
