Leah
Nanny in London: Camden
My Summary
About Me
I am writing to express my interest in the Live-In Nanny position within your family. I am a 25-year-old nanny originally from the North East of England, currently based in Surrey, with over
five years of professional childcare experience working with children of varying ages and needs.
I hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies and am also a qualified swimming teacher, both of
which have strengthened my understanding of child development, communication and
emotional wellbeing. Alongside my academic background, my hands-on experience has allowed
me to develop a calm, nurturing and adaptable approach to childcare.
I currently work as a live-in nanny for 3-year-old triplets in Surrey, where I independently
manage the daily care, routines and developmental needs of all three children. Prior to this, I
worked in Hampstead with a family caring for a 5-year-old, 3-year-old and 4-month-old baby.
These roles have strengthened my ability to remain organised, patient and attentive within busy
family environments while ensuring each child receives individual care and attention.
I am deeply passionate about supporting children’s emotional, social and developmental growth.
I particularly enjoy encouraging speech and language development through conversation,
storytelling, imaginative play and interactive learning experiences. I believe every child is
unique, and I always tailor my approach to suit their individual personality, interests and
developmental stage.
As a qualified swimming teacher, I am also able to offer swimming support and water confidence
development where desired. I believe swimming is an invaluable life skill that not only promotes
safety and physical health, but also helps children develop confidence, resilience and
independence.
My childcare philosophy is rooted in a gentle and respectful approach. I believe in supporting
children with empathy, consistency and understanding, while encouraging healthy emotional
expression, confidence and independence. I aim to create a calm, safe and nurturing
environment where children feel valued, supported and secure.
Families I have worked with describe me as warm, reliable, approachable and trustworthy. I
pride myself on building strong relationships with both children and parents, maintaining open
communication and becoming a positive and dependable presence within the household.
I would be delighted to bring my experience, enthusiasm and caring nature to your family, and I
would welcome the opportunity to discuss how I could support your children and household
further.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards, Leah
