My Requirements
I’m looking for a full-time, live-out nanny for a 3-year-old girl in W12 in the area of Wendell Park. She has an endearing and inquisitive nature, is physically and mentally advanced for her age and is quite extroverted. I’m a single parent with a demanding professional job and I work from my home office on most days.
Hours will be 11am to 9pm Monday to Friday with the occasional requirement for extra hours and infrequently, proxy-parenting to cover for me while I’m on business travel. You will be fluent in English and have some form of post-school education. This could be childcare-specific or a university degree.
A live-in arrangement could potentially be considered for the right candidate, although I definitely prefer a live-out arrangement.
Duties will include, but not necessarily be limited to
• Sole charge role (meals, naps, play)
• Preparation and feeding of 3 nutritious meals per day
• Keeping the kitchen tidy and organised after feeding (surfaces, dishes, etc)
• Going out to walk and exercise during the day
• Supporting early years development and age-appropriate play
• Help with unstructured learning and language development
• Buying relevant items from the supermarket occasionally when needed
• Fetching medication if and when needed from the chemist
• Clearing up of toys so as to keep living spaces tidy and unencumbered
• Doing the child’s laundry
• Brushing teeth and bathing
There will be a general expectation that you do whatever is needed to care for my daughter during the hours when I’m working. I don’t have any expectation that the successful candidate will take on any housekeeping duties, but I do expect that I won’t need to clean up after you or my daughter once I’m done working for the day.
You should
• Two plus years of experience of nannying to a toddler
• Have a paediatric first-aid qualification
• Be tidy, organised, punctual, reliable and capable of working independently
• Be calm and patient
• Be interested in supporting the intellectual and emotional development of a toddler
• Have a good understanding of nutrition
• Be able to cook healthy and delicious meals with some variety
• Be able to occasionally come earlier or stay later in the event of work commitments
• Be able to take on a proxy-parenting role the event of business travel (once or twice a year)
• Have the right to work
• Have a current DBS check and contactable references
Very importantly, you should live locally, so please don’t respond if you need to travel 40 minutes by tube to get to work. I need someone who will be able to get to work in the event of a tube strike.
Due to the need for the occasional flexibility, this role is most likely to suit someone who doesn’t have a family of their own to take care of.
This role will be a guaranteed 50+ hours per week until at least September of 2027, when my daughter will need to go to Reception. This will be a full-time employee role with statutory holiday and managed via one of the well-known payroll providers.
Pay will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience, with a start date of 8 December 2025.
If you feel that you’re a great fit to these criteria, then do please send send me short note about yourself, along with your (gross) pay expectations. I’d recommend that prospective nannies bear in mind that this is a role that comes with a high number of guaranteed hours.
