About Me

Hi, I’m 28 and based in South Liverpool! I’ve been babysitting on and off since I was a teenager, and these days I also help out with my friends’ little ones. I’ve got six younger siblings too, so I’ve definitely had plenty of hands-on experience over the years!

I used to work for a company called Autism Initiatives, supporting adults with additional needs. That experience, plus spending lots of time with my friend’s non-verbal four-year-old son (who’s honestly one of my favourite people!), has given me a lot of patience and understanding when it comes to working with children of all abilities.

I’m calm, caring and easy-going, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids — their curiosity and energy always make my day. Whether it’s playing games, reading stories or just keeping things calm before bedtime, I always try to make sure they feel happy, comfortable and safe.

My Experience

I’ve been around children my whole life — I’m the oldest of six, so I grew up helping with everything from nappy changes and school runs to homework and bedtime routines. That experience gave me a really good understanding of how to care for children of all ages and personalities.

I started babysitting for local families when I was a teenager and have continued to do so over the years, including regular babysitting for friends’ children. I’m confident with both younger kids and older ones, and I always aim to create a calm, fun, and safe environment for them.

I also worked with Autism Initiatives, where I supported adults with additional needs in their day-to-day lives. That role taught me a lot about communication, patience, and adapting to different needs — skills that translate really well into childcare. I also have close personal experience with children who have autism, including a non-verbal four-year-old I spend time with regularly, which has really deepened my understanding and empathy.

I’m comfortable managing routines, preparing meals or snacks, helping with bedtime, and keeping children entertained with games, crafts, or outdoor play. Parents have described me as calm, reliable, and someone they can fully trust to look after their children.

My Qualifications

I don’t have formal childcare qualifications, but I have lots of hands-on experience from years of babysitting, helping raise my six younger siblings, and working with Autism Initiatives.

That role included training in safeguarding, communication, and person-centred care, which I use every day when looking after children. I’ve also done basic first aid training before and am happy to update it if needed.

I’m calm, responsible, and confident supporting children of all ages and abilities.
