My Experience
I have Early Years experience in three Outstanding Ofsted Graded nurseries and I have three+ years experience within a Nanny/housekeeper role.
During my 16 years’ experience in Early Years, I have developed a strong understanding of child development and child emotion, excellent communications skills, complete patience, organisational skills and being able to adapt within a family home.
This means that I will provide daily reading opportunities and independent reading, independent explorations through play and daily tasks with support and encouragement, an organised home environment and a space and opportunity to feel calm.
Providing a calm environment for children allows them to feel as comfortable and as safe as possible. I am a firm believer in using a “Gentle Parenting” approach within my working environment where children can express strong emotions. This would mean providing connection, space, excellent patience, and distracting techniques for children to feel in control and safe.
In my experience providing a “Positive Reinforcement” approach and inner motivation will allow children to feel empowered and encourage further independence. My techniques are adaptable as all children learn and respond differently and I will strive to adapt to what works best for you and your family.

Full NVQ Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
Clean Disclosure and Barring Service certificate (DBS).
QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF).
Level 2 within Food Safety and Hygiene.
