About Me
Hello, I’m Tess. a warm, patient and highly experienced registered childminder with over 20 years of childcare experience across nurseries, children’s centres, community settings, and early years education. I provide a calm, nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow.
My background includes roles as a Nursery Manager, Nursery Practitioner, Crèche Leader, and most recently a Research Assistant in a Baby Development Lab, where I work directly with babies and young children during developmental studies. This experience has strengthened my understanding of children’s learning, communication, behaviour and emotional needs.
I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies, a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, and up-to-date certificates in safeguarding, paediatric first aid, health & safety, SEND awareness, positive behaviour support, and data protection. I also keep my knowledge current with ongoing professional training.

MY APPROACH:
I believe children thrive when they feel secure, heard and understood. I take time to build trusting relationships and provide gentle structure, consistent routines and lots of encouragement.
With my experience supporting children from babies to preschoolers, I create activities that are fun, engaging and meaningful—whether we’re exploring sensory play, early maths, outdoor learning, storytelling, or imaginative play.
I am DBS-checked, fully insured, trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid, and committed to providing a warm, reliable and high-quality service.

I’m available Monday to Friday from 8 am, I also offer late pick up, up to 9 PM
My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
I charge £70 per day flat charge which includes a healthy breakfast. Lunch. Tea and snacks.
£15.00 per hour for childminding under 10 hours.
£10 per hour for school pick up.
Fresh home cooked meals included.

Both my kids love her. My 2 year old was unsettled in the nursery for almost over a year. But as soon as we put him at Tess’s home nursery he was happy and settled within a week. He feels really safe and happy. My son is also learning and developing there according to his milestones. Tess has always made sure his needs were met and makes every day really interesting according to his likes. She also makes nutritious homemade food. She always communicates with me and gives me an update of my kids. She is also very flexible. Her house and garden is always very clean as well.

I have been really happy with the care my child receives. Tess is professional, well organised, and always communicates clearly with me about how things are going. It gives me peace of mind knowing my child is in capable and caring hands. Tess is calm and creates a warm and structured environment where my child feels secure. She has a strong focus on education, good nutrition, and making learning fun.

Teresa is looking after my son after school and I’m really pleased with her service.
Also my child is very happy which is most important. She is entertaining kids with different activities, helping with homework’s reading and general doing great job with whole heart.Im receiving pictures on daily basis what activities he does each day .Also preparing food together with kids etc.
I had experience with different childminders in the past and honestly Teresa is one of the best.
