Nanny (Emotionally Responsive, Connection-Focused) – 26-Week Contract
Start: 04/03/2026?End: 26/08/2026?Hours: 08:00–17:30
Potential extension to: 04/01/2027
Location: Home with parent working in a separate room
Pets: Household includes two friendly cats (must not be allergic or fearful)
Pay range: £15–£20/hour, depending on experience and fit
We are looking for a warm, emotionally attuned nanny to care for our child (12–20 months) using a connection-based, responsive and gentle approach. The ideal candidate supports secure attachment, emotional regulation, and playful cooperation, while providing structured routines and developmental play.
Key Responsibilities
Full daily care: feeding, diapering, dressing, bottle prep/sterilising
Age-appropriate play, sensory activities, reading, outdoor time
Emotional support, gentle limits, co-regulation and child-led connection play
Support early, low-pressure potty learning
Manage naps and consistent daily routines
Child-related housekeeping: laundry, toy rotation, tidy play areas
Simple child-focused errands
Daily handover notes and clear communication with parent working from home
Schedule
Warm-up period (first 12 weeks):
Weeks 1–6: 1 day/week
Weeks 7–12: 2 days/week
After week 12: 3 days/week, 08:00–17:30
Requirements
Experience with infants/toddlers (12–20 months)
Emotionally responsive, patient, and connection-focused caregiving style
Comfortable with two cats
Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List (or Update Service)
Two recent references (verbal)
Verified ID/right-to-work
Paediatric First Aid
Confident supporting routines while being child-led and flexible
