My Summary
Qualified Nanny
About Me
I’m fun, easy-going and empathetic, with a genuine love for working with children.
I love to bring a creative approach to games and educational activities such as puppet shows, interactive storytelling, singing, music and movement. I enjoy bringing these into my daily routines with children as well as creating engaging activities inside or outside.
I always strive to create an environment in which children feel happy, confident, safe and secure by supporting them as they learn, play and grow.
I’m flexible with early mornings or evenings when needed and can provide homework support for school aged children.
My Experience
Initially my childcare career started in a primary school, in the schools nursery where I gained hands-on experience with children aged 8 months to 4 years. I worked across all nursery rooms, supporting children at different developmental stages and helping them learn through play, exploration and routine.
I later became the Preschool Room Lead, where I created a safe and supportive learning environment. I planned and delivered activities based on children's interests and developmental needs, adapting plans when needed. I led and supported my team day to day ensuring daily routines were organised and ran smoothly. I observed and assessed children's development, planned next steps and promoted my own open door approach for parents so concerns and updates could be shared easily. I also organised and led external outings, completing risk assessments and ensuring all of the children's safety at all times.
Following this, I moved into the school as a Teaching Assistant, working with children aged 4–11 years, starting in the reception class all the way up to year 6. I supported daily routines and was responsible for my groups of key children, keeping parents informed of their children's progress at parents evenings.
During this time I also provided nannying and babysitting for several families both within the school and privately, which built wonderful long-lasting relationships with families.
I have experience supporting children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, selective mutism, hearing impairments and physical disabilities.
