Full Time Nanny With Special Needs Experience Job In Chislehurst
About Me
Hi, we are a family of four living in Chislehurst and are looking for an experienced nanny for our 4-year-old daughter, who has speech delays and is on the autistic spectrum.
We are specifically seeking someone with experience in special needs, particularly in supporting communication, routines, and early learning.
Our preferred schedule:
• Monday & Tuesday: Half day
• Thursday & Friday: Full day

My Requirements
Experience working with children with special needs, especially ASD and speech delays
• Understanding of structured routines, sensory needs, and calm behaviour management
• Ability to support communication through play-based learning, visual aids, and therapist-recommended strategies
• Patient, nurturing, and confident in handling developmental delays
• Ability to follow guidance from speech therapists, OT, and SEN professionals
• Good communication with parents and ability to provide daily updates
• DBS checked (or willing to undergo the check)
• First Aid certified (Paediatric preferred)
Work Schedule
• Monday & Tuesday: Half day
• Thursday & Friday: Full day
Preferred Skills
• Experience with non-verbal or minimally verbal children
• Knowledge of early years development
• SEN qualifications or training (bonus, not mandatory)
• Ability to plan engaging, sensory-friendly activities
• Calm, positive style of caregiving
Responsibilities
• Providing a safe and nurturing environment
• Supporting learning through play
• Preparing meals/snacks
• Assisting with toileting routines (if needed)
• Keeping child’s play area tidy
• Accompanying to activities, therapy, and outings (if required)
