About Me
My son is a bright, happy, and imaginative 8-year-old who has strong verbal skills and a love of learning through play. He has an amazing imagination, is constantly creating things, and is very family-oriented.
He struggles with reading, spelling, and writing, and can feel overwhelmed in new environments or when tasks are challenging. He can also struggle to stay focused at times.
My son engages best when learning is play-based, interactive, and fun, and he responds very positively to encouragement and hands-on activities. Overall, he is a happy child with a keen curiosity and a real desire to succeed when supported appropriately.
My Requirements
Structured, systematic literacy support, ideally using phonics-based or structured literacy approaches.
• One-to-one sessions, around 1 hour per week to start.
• A patient, encouraging tutor who can build his confidence as well as his skills.
• Someone willing to coordinate briefly with me so I can reinforce strategies at home.
