About Me
Hi, I’m Mia! I’m 27, a mum of two, and a passionate, registered childminder based right here in Sheffield. Working with children has always been such a natural and joyful part of my life; their curiosity, energy, and unique little personalities are what inspired me to become a childminder.
As both a mother and an early years practitioner, I understand just how important it is for families to find childcare that feels genuine, safe, and trustworthy. That’s why weve built a warm, home-away-home environment where children feel loved, valued, and confident to be themselves.
In our setting, we blend the comfort of a setting with the structure and thoughtfulness of high-quality early years practice. I’m committed to creating meaningful learning experiences rooted in the EYFS, making sure every child has the opportunity to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.
Our space is filled with sensory play, creative activities, outdoor adventures, and lots of opportunities for little ones to learn through play. I believe in nurturing the whole child — socially, emotionally, and developmentally — so they feel secure, encouraged, and excited each day.
I’m always learning, developing, and expanding my skills through ongoing CPD and hands-on experience, because giving children the very best start is at the heart of everything I do.

My Experience
I’ve been a childminder for about a year, after deciding to pursue a more family-focused and deeply rewarding career working with children. As a mum of two, I bring years of hands-on experience with children’s routines, development, and emotional needs and experience that has shaped the calm, nurturing approach I use in my setting today.
Beyond my home nursery, I also volunteer in the baby group at my church. This role has given me the opportunity to support a wide range of families, care for little ones in a structured environment, and build strong skills in delivering age-appropriate play, comfort, and early learning. It’s helped strengthen my confidence, deepen my understanding of infant development, and reinforce my passion for creating a warm, supportive space where every child can thrive.
My Qualifications
• Registered with Ofsted
• Enhanced DBS checked
• Paediatric First Aid trained
• Safeguarding trained
• EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) training and knowledge
• Fire Safety Awareness
• Training in creating safe, nurturing learning environments
My Availability
Standard Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm
Location: S2
Contracts Offered: Term-time only, full-year care, flexible options and more — to suit your family’s needs.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
For a place in my childminding setting I charge £6.50 per hour per child.
I accept payments via student finance, universal credit, childcare vouchers and many more.

From day one, she has been nothing short of amazing—so warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. She has been my son’s key person, and the love, patience, and dedication she shows every single day gives me complete peace of mind.
It means everything to know your child is not only safe, but truly happy, understood, and nurtured. I am beyond grateful for the incredible care she provides—she really is the absolute best.

My son absolutely adores his childminders this includes Mia. The way she is with children is just amazing. My son loves being at his childminders he left for a short while because of the distance but i soon put him back at Tiney’s. they are always willing to help work around my schedule. They are just amazing

Mia has been looking after my daughter since she was 6 months old (she is now 17 months) & id trust nobody more! She is “Auntie Mia” to my daughter & they have a wonderful relationship. Mia is trustworthy, follows your parenting lead but also works with you for the betterment of your child. My husband & i have been signing to our daughter since she was born & she started signing back to us around 6 months old so having someone we trust to not only look after her but who can understand, encourage & respond to her sign language was a game changer for my daughter’s development. They’re always playing such fun, interactive & educational games plus there is ZERO screen time, which is hard to find nowadays! i honestly couldn’t recommend her enough! As quite a type A mum that breastfed my daughter i worried what having a childminder would look like but i had no issues! She was more than happy to give my daughter my milk until i was ready to stop & my daughters routine remained unchanged from day 1. We absolutely love Mia!!
