I have always felt a natural connection with children. Growing up with a mother who ran a home family day care meant I spent most of my childhood around little ones, helping, observing, and learning how to nurture and support them. My Experience
I have two years of hands-on experience working with young children as both an Operations Manager and Swimming Teacher at a children’s swim school in Melbourne, Australia, teaching ages 3 months to 10 years.
In this role I:
Delivered one-to-one and small-group lessons, including for children with additional needs.
Adapted activities to suit each child’s stage of development.
Built strong relationships with families and provided consistent emotional support and encouragement to help children progress.
Managed behaviour in the pool and created a safe, reassuring environment for nervous or first-time swimmers.
Alongside teaching, I oversaw daily operations of the swim school, including scheduling, customer communication, auditing safety procedures, and maintaining a high standard of care for all attendees. This role strengthened my ability to stay organised, calm, and confident in fast-paced child-focused environments.
My combined experience has given me strong skills in child engagement, behaviour management, activity planning, positive reinforcement, and providing one-to-one support tailored to each child’s needs.
My Qualifications
I currently hold an Australian CPR/First Aid certificate and a Victorian Working With Children Check, and I’ll be obtaining my Enhanced DBS check very soon. I also plan to complete updated Paediatric First Aid training in the UK. In 2026, I will be beginning a Childcare and Early Learning qualification to further develop my knowledge and become formally qualified here in the UK.
My Availability
I am available at all times during the day, every day, plus weekday evenings.
I will be away for a few weeks in January when I will be visiting family in Ireland.
