My Summary
About Me
I am a warm, bubbly, and enthusiastic individual who genuinely enjoys working with children and supporting their development. I love meeting new people and learning from different cultures, and I bring that curiosity and positivity into my work with families.
Being an active person is very important to me and I recently completed the Brighton Marathon in April, which reflects my energy, commitment, and love for outside activity. I enjoy encouraging children to stay active through play, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate adventures.
Child development has always been a passion and I find it incredibly rewarding to support children as they reach important milestones. I take pride in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel confident, supported, and happy to learn. I am patient, attentive, and always aim to tailor my care to each child’s individual needs and personality.
My Experience
I am a qualified Early Years Practitioner with a strong background in both nursery and home-based childcare. I have been surrounded by children from a young age, as my mother was a childminder, which gave me a natural understanding of children’s routines, care needs, and development.
I have recently completed my Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, achieving a Distinction. During my studies, both within childcare settings and through the course syllabus, I gained an extensive amount of knowledge and practical experience. This included exploring different ways to support and accelerate children’s learning, as well as using my own initiative to make appropriate, child-centred decisions.
I am primarily based in the baby room, where I care independently for three children aged 3 months to 2 years, supporting daily routines, emotional security, and key developmental milestones. I also regularly assist in the over-2s room, independently caring for 5–8 children aged 2–4 years, planning and delivering activities that promote learning, independence, and social development. This experience has strengthened my ability to multitask and understand the individual needs of multiple children.
I am now looking to move into a full time nanny role, as I thrive in a more personalised, one-to-one (or small family) environment. I am particularly passionate about building strong, consistent relationships with children and tailoring care and learning experiences to each child’s individual needs—an approach where I feel I can offer my strongest skills and provide the highest level of care and support.
