My Summary

My Experience

I have extensive professional and personal experience caring for children and families, and supporting individuals with a wide range of needs. I am a mum of three young children, one of whom is autistic, which has given me invaluable first-hand experience of understanding, supporting and advocating for children with additional needs within everyday family life.

Professionally, I currently work for the NHS within the Children’s Continuing Care Team as a Family Support Worker, where I care for children with the most complex medical and developmental needs. I support children in their own homes, as well as in nursery, school and respite care settings, adapting my approach to ensure every child’s needs are met safely, confidently and with compassion.

Prior to this role, I worked for four years on an Intensive Care Unit, gaining strong clinical experience and the ability to remain calm, organised and responsive in high-pressure situations. I am trained and experienced in a wide range of medical care including oxygen therapy, PEG and JEG feeding, ventilation, medication administration and seizure management in children.

My passion for caring began early in life, influenced greatly by my sister who has Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. Supporting her and my family has shaped my values and reinforced my commitment to inclusion, empathy and understanding. I also have experience working as an assistant in special needs schools, providing tailored support to help children reach their individual potential.

In addition, I have worked as a community carer supporting elderly individuals, further strengthening my ability to provide respectful, person-centred care. I have also explored other career paths, including working as an estate agent, which enhanced my communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.

I have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and will fully follow this framework with all my childminded children, supporting their learning, development and school readiness through play, routine and positive experiences.

Above all, caring is not just my profession but my true passion. I am dedicated to making a real difference in children’s lives, providing opportunities they may not otherwise have, and creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where children can make happy memories, feel valued and thrive.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.85 per hour

Registration fee - £30 one off charge
Daily snack fee - 50p
Daily consumables fee - £3.00
Full day 9am - 3pm - £41.50
Additional hours - £5.85 per hour
Accepting all funding and tax free childcare.
