My Experience

With 30 years in education (4 years in mainstream and 26 years in an autism specialist school), I have supported many children and young people (verbal and non verbal) aged 3–18 with their communication, social, emotional, and sensory needs.

I have strong skills in understanding each child as an individual, promoting positive behaviour, and providing patient, compassionate, and consistent care.

I am experienced in Intensive Interaction with non-verbal autistic pupils and have worked alongside Speech and Language Therapists to support communication .I confidently use communication systems including Pictures to Trade Objects (POT) and photographic timetables to help children understand routines, reduce anxiety, and support emotional wellbeing.

I have extensive 1:1 experience creating structured routines and supporting children who display challenging behaviour or emotional dysregulation. I analyse behaviour carefully and respond with positive, individualised strategies that meet each child’s needs.

I have successfully supported children with additional needs alongside autism, including ADHD, sensory processing differences, OCD, and PDA.

I am passionate about nurturing children’s confidence and independence, helping them build the skills they need to feel secure, happy, and successful.

My Availability

As I work in school Monday to Wednesday, I am available for babysitting on Thursdays and Fridays, plus weekday evenings.

During school holidays, I have greater daytime availability and can also provide evening babysitting if required.

• Babysitting from £17.00 per hour

My fees are £17 ( Net pay) per hour-daytime.Evening from 6 pm-£20p/h After 11pm -£25p/h.
