• Ofsted registered and how I can find your latest report.
- Have an updated DBS check that you can prove
• Follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Public liability insurance
• Up-to-date paediatric first aid training
Care & Ratios
• Experience caring for children aged 1–2 years
• Appropriate adult-to-child ratios
Environment & Safety
• Safe, baby-proofed space (stairs, sockets, gates)
• Separate or protected areas for younger children if mixed ages
• Clean, calm sleeping area with monitoring
• Outdoor play access (garden or outings)
Resources & Equipment
• Age-appropriate toys (stacking, sensory, push toys, books)
• High chair or suitable seating for meals
• Floor space for crawling/walking
Feeding & Sleep
• Supports individual routines (naps, meals)
• Experience with weaning
• Safe food preparation and allergy awareness
Learning & Development (EYFS Areas)
Supports early development in:
• Physical development (walking, climbing, fine motor skills)
• Communication & language (talking, singing, reading)
• Personal, social & emotional development (bonding, comfort, confidence)
Social Interaction & Behaviour Support
• Supports children to take turns gently and safely
• Manages interactions calmly between children of different ages
• Uses positive behaviour guidance (no punishment)
Communication
• Daily updates on naps, food, mood
• Shares developmental progress informally
• Open to discussing concerns
Emotional Care
• Responds quickly to distress or upset
• Builds secure attachments
• Patient and nurturing approach
Practicalities
• Availability for Nov26
• Clear policies (illness, holidays, fees)
• Experience managing mixed-age groups safely
