About Me

Hi, I’m an A-Level student and I’ve recently been accepted to Queen Mary University of London. I’m looking for a nanny/babysitting role because I genuinely enjoy being around children and helping families in a way that makes their daily life easier. I’m the second child in a family of four, so I grew up learning patience, sharing, and how to stay calm when things get busy. I’m very reliable and punctual, and I take responsibility seriously. If I say I’ll be there, I’ll be there. I like creating a safe and positive environment where children feel comfortable and listened to. I also enjoy cooking, so I’m happy to prepare meals and snacks, and I always tidy up afterwards. I’m open-minded, easy to communicate with, and I always follow parents’ routines and instructions while giving clear updates.

My Experience

I have childcare experience supporting children during parents’ absence, making sure they are safe, settled, and well cared for. I’ve helped with daily routines like meal/snack preparation, tidying up, and keeping a clean and nurturing space. I also enjoy planning activities that keep children engaged: simple games, creative tasks, and learning-based activities depending on their age. I’m attentive and I pay attention to the small things, like what a child likes, what calms them down, and what routine works best for them. I’m happy to support with homework or reading time when needed, and I always put safety, respect, and kindness first. References can be provided if required.

My Qualifications

I’m currently an A-Level student (Law & Business) with strong experience in customer service and admin. I’ve worked in retail (including Victoria’s Secret), where I learned how to stay professional, helpful, and calm—especially when it’s busy. I also completed an administrative internship at the Embassy of The Republic of Gambia, handling enquiries, updating details on systems, and supporting scheduling and organisation. I’m fluent in English, French, and Wolof, and I’m confident communicating clearly with both children and parents. I’ve also taken on responsibility roles like being a cheer captain and a student representative, which helped me become reliable, organised, and patient.

My Availability

I’m available Monday afternoons and evenings, Tuesday–Thursday evenings, and Friday after school and evenings. I’m also available weekends (Saturday & Sunday) in the morning, afternoon, after school, and evenings. I’m happy to do regular hours or last-minute babysitting when possible (with a bit of notice).
