About Me
Hello, my name is Claire , and I am currently in the process of registering with Ofsted as a childminder. I am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel happy, secure, and valued.
My goal is to support each child’s individual development through play-based learning, outdoor exploration, creative activities, and structured routines. I believe children thrive when they feel confident and supported, and I aim to build strong partnerships with parents to ensure consistency between home and my setting.
I have DBS checks in progress for myself, husband and my grown up children. I hold a paediatric first aid qualification , and I have safeguarding and EYFS knowledge. As a parent to 4 grown up children and my previous experience in childcare (over 25 years!) it has given me valuable hands-on experience in understanding children’s needs, routines, and development stages.I hold a SENCO qualification and have a breadth of experience working with children who have additional needs.
I plan to offer a variety of engaging activities including sensory play, reading, messy play, communication and language activities, local outings, and garden play to encourage curiosity and learning.
I will also have an assistant working alongside me, currently pre registration stage too!
I look forward to welcoming families and building trusting relationships with both children and parents.

My Experience
I have over 25 years of experience caring for children in various roles and settings. In that time I have supported many families as well as being a parent myself. This has given me a strong understanding of children’s developmental stages, routines, and emotional needs. I am confident in planning engaging activities, managing behaviour in a calm and positive way. I have many qualifications, I hold a BTEC national diploma in early years, I am SENCo qualified and have a breadth of experience working with children who have additional needs, I have a NVQ level 3 in management, level 3 in understanding autism, and completed various training courses over the years, including BSL. As part of my registration process, I hold a paediatric first aid and safeguarding certificate to ensure I provide a safe and professional childcare environment.
