About Me
My daughter and I are co-childminders in Middlewich. We have returned to childminding after a break and working in a Pre-school setting. We are both passionate about providing a safe and nurturing Early Years setting where children are excited to come through the door every day and go home chatting about the fun they have had.
We follow the EYFS and carefully consider the needs of each individual child. We offer funded places, that can be stretched if needed, full and part time spaces are available and you can also choose term time only if required. We also offer a full nutritional menu at no extra charge.
We love to take the children out and visit places such as Delemere Forest and local places of interest. We have 2 playrooms and a large secure garden and get outdoors every day, weather permitting.
Our working partnership with parents is very important to us and we use an app to share photo’s, observations and important details about your child’s day such a naps, nappy changes and meals.
We offer before and after school care to our local schools that includes age appropriate activities and a full meal service.
Our family members include my husband Simon, my younger daughter Lucy, who is currently away at university, and our friendly Labrador Jake.
My Experience
Joanne - I have raised two children of my own, worked in school settings and childminded for many years before taking a break. I also have experience working in a pre school setting.
Emma - I have worked in nurseries and schools as a teaching assistant before deciding to start childminding which I did with my mum for many years before taking a break and I am now very excited to get back to childminding again.
My Qualifications
Both Jo and Emma hold:
A CACHE Level 3 in childcare
A Level 2 Food hygiene
A Level 3 paediatric first aid
Both Emma and Jo have completed training courses in the following areas:
Fundamental safeguarding awareness
Role of the DSL
The Prevent Duty and British Values
Safe Sleeping
Encouraging Positive Behaviour
Early Years Child Development
Jo has also completed training on:
Effective teaching and learning
Emma has also completed training on:
Introduction to BSL
Makaton Level 1
We are always taking part in continual professional development and our certificates are all available upon request.
My Availability
Monday - Friday 7:30 - 18:00
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Our fees are as follows:
Hourly rate £6
Before school care £12 - from 7:30 and includes breakfast and safe drop off to school.
After school care £18 - collection from school, 2 course evening meal and interesting age appropriate activities.
Special rate for before and after school care when booked for the same day is £25.
