Childminder in St. Helens
My Summary
About Me
Welcome to Wild Home Learners
A home-based childminding setting in Haydock, St Helens, with a strong focus on outdoor play, nature, creativity, and a proper, unhurried childhood.
Our days are centred around children's interests and include plenty of time in the garden and outdoor playroom, local adventures, muddy boots, story times, songs, sensory play, arts and crafts, and enjoying the simple joys of childhood. We regularly explore local woods, parks, and canals, giving children opportunities to connect with nature and the world around them.
I provide a small, nurturing environment where children can build confidence, form secure relationships, and learn through play at their own pace. I believe children thrive when they have time to explore, create, imagine, and simply be little.
If you're looking for a home-from-home setting that values fresh air, freedom, play, and connection, I'd love to hear from you.
Current availability: 1 space available for a baby under 1 year.
My Experience
I have over 15 years of experience working in social care, education, and family support roles.
Throughout my career I have supported children, young people, and families in a variety of settings, including SEND schools, residential care, and community-based services. I have held senior and management positions, with particular experience in advocacy, communication, safeguarding, and supporting individuals with additional needs.
Alongside my professional experience, I am also a home-educating mum to two young children. Becoming a parent has deepened my understanding of the importance of nurturing relationships, emotional wellbeing, and creating environments where children feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves.
