My Summary

My Experience

I have over five years of professional experience in childcare and education, starting in 2018, working as a teaching assistant and later as a class teacher at a municipal primary school in Brazil. From 2018 to 2019, I worked as a teaching assistant supporting Year 2 pupils, assisting with daily routines, classroom activities and individual learning support.
From 2019 to 2023, I worked as both a class teacher and teaching assistant, supporting children from Pre-K (age 4) through to Year 4 of primary education. During this period, I planned and delivered age-appropriate learning activities and supported children’s academic, social and emotional development.
I also provided dedicated support to children with special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (levels 1 and 2), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and speech and language delays. This experience strengthened my ability to adapt care to individual needs, use positive behaviour strategies and create a calm, structured and inclusive environment.
I developed strong skills in safeguarding, communication with families and promoting children’s wellbeing, which I now bring into my work as a nanny.

My Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy obtained in Brazil. During my degree, I participated in supervised teaching and academic research programmes (PIBID and PIBIC), gaining practical classroom experience and developing strong reflective and evidence-based practice skills.
