Nisa
Babysitter in Leeds
My Summary
About Me
I’m a young university student studying law, and I’ve been babysitting for as long as I can remember. I started by helping to look after my little sister, doing school pick ups and dropoffs, evening meals and general afterschool care. Since then I’ve cared regularly for my nephew and baby niece from birth, planning fun outings and activities while also keeping a calm, predictable routine for them. I love working with children, especially finding the balance between play, learning and clear boundaries, and I try to give every child I look after my full attention and care. I also enjoy volunteering and am currently training to become an independent visitor for children in foster care, as building consistent, trusting relationships with young people is really important to me.
I speak English and Urdu fluently and have intermediate Turkish, and I’m now hoping to learn Spanish or Italian next, my dream is to become a polyglot because I love languages and connecting with people from different backgrounds.
My Experience
I am very passionate about working with children and supporting their wellbeing. I have regularly cared for my young nephew and niece from birth, including taking them to parks, play areas and farms to make sure they have fun and stimulating activities while their parents are at work. This has given me handson experience with babies, toddlers and older children. I can also help with routines, feeding, play and comfort.
I am also currently training to become an independent visitor for children in foster care, a voluntary role where I will befriend and regularly visit a young person to offer consistent friendship, listening and support. Although this is separate from the role I am applying for, I believe that it shows my longterm commitment to children’s wellbeing, especially those who may be more vulnerable, and it has helped me develop strong communication, empathy and safeguarding awareness.
My biggest priority is always that children are safe and well cared for and I am confident in building warm, trusting relationships with them and their families. I am also first aid trained, which helps me to stay calm and prepared in case of any accidents or emergencies.
