About Me
Hello, my name is Nawal and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I re-located to Northfields and started my first homebased Childminders, London, 7 years ago from Wiltshire, after marrying my husband. Prior to that I finished my studies in Gloucestershire, achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Level 6 qualification). I also have 16 years of experience with a combination of both studying and working in childcare. Childcare is my passion which is the path I have followed for both education and career.
I am now returning to Swindon to open this second setting with Poppy co-childminding with me, also an Ofsted Registered Childminder.
At Seedlings' Tale we truly believe children mirror those around them, therefore we know that a happy, loving and enthusiastic environment is essential for children to thrive and blossom.
We follow the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), this allows us to put an emphasis on outdoor play as children learn so much through being outdoors and exploring. Even with a simple activity such as a walk to the shops, we ensure your child will still be having fun whilst also learning at the same time! For example, doing a sound walk with the children, or talking about any objects they see on the way to the shops that are square shapes. Any chance is an opportunity for your child to learn through their play and have fun.
I am a happy and energetic person and I deliver a high standard of care. This is also extended to our staff as we ensure they have the 3 'Es'; Education, Experience and Energy. Your child’s well-being is our top priority and we ensure your child is coming to a comfortable and happy setting. Our aim is to deliver a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children, allowing them to develop, progress and thrive as they grow.
We prefer a smaller setting in comparison to a nursery, as we feel this allows us to spend more time with each child, which is vital to your child’s development. The ground floor of our house is entirely dedicated to childminding. We have a large living room which is a dedicated nursery room for toddlers and above, providing an extremely safe, fun and children centred area for them to enjoy. This contains a home corner, dress up corner, soft play, reading and many other resources and activities for your children to enjoy. Additionally, we have a separate baby room, which includes a play den and other resources, so that we have an extra safe place for our youngest to thrive in. We have a separate area for meals and nappy changing. We are currently in the process of creating a sensory room. The conservatory is our arts and crafts space, with tuff trays, easels and other resources to let their artistic sides out. Finally, we have a very large garden, for children to run and explore. We are in the process of bringing a jungle gym as well!
We offer a range of activities from arts and crafts, physical exercise (large garden with activities ranging from ball to water and sand play), construction, small world, quiet reading and a mixture of adult and child led activities. We also believe following the children's lead in their play and extending on this is important as this boosts their self-confidence and emotional well-being.
My Experience
16 years of experience in childcare.
I started my journey into childcare straight after finishing secondary school. I obtained my level 3 child diploma whilst also working at placements alongside this. After achieving my level 3, I was offered a job at a private nursery, whilst pursuing my Bachelors degree (level 6) in early years childcare. I was a childcare assistant in the baby room and soon after was promoted to toddler room lead. Responsibilities included; daily planning, responsible for key children whose progress I track throughout the term and also worked closely with their parents.
Following this, I took up work in a pre-school where I was a session coordinator looking after children from 2-5 years old. My job entailed delegating staff, school readiness activities, 1:1 with special needs children, organising termly planning as well as daily planning, tracking children’s learning journeys and writing up progress reports.
Since 2019 I have been a Childminder in the Northfields area and surrounded by a great team. They all take just as much pride and care in their work as I do.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
We provide full day sessions, 08:00-18:00 for £85
Half day sessions, 08:00-13:00 OR 13:00-18:00 for £42.50
Meals are optional at £5 for full day and £2.50 for half day.

Our little one has been attending the London branch of Seedlings Tale for the last two and a half years and we are so happy with the choice we made for our son. From the beginning, Nawal and her wonderful team have created a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where he feels safe and settled.
The setting offers a fantastic range of fun and educational activities that support his growth and development. It’s evident that Nawal and the team genuinely care about each child’s wellbeing, thoughtfully tailoring their approach to suit individual needs. We always enjoy receiving the updates and photos, which give us a lovely insight into his day and all the exciting activities he enjoys. The access to local parks and outside space is an added bonus. They even manage to get my son to eat a nice variety of vegetables and I love hearing about all the different food he gets to sample.
What truly sets this childcare apart is its loving, family-like atmosphere and it will be a very sad day when we have to say goodbye to the team (before he starts his next chapter at school).

Poppy is so wonderfully loving and caring. She is a real natural with children of all ages. She creates a warm, nurturing environment where our children feel completely safe and happy. Poppy is full of engaging activities that support learning and development through play and exploration. She takes the time to truly understand each child’s personality and needs.
She is always so welcoming and polite whilst also encouraging the children’s own good manners and kindness. Her communication is excellent — we’re always kept informed about daily activities and any little moments that make us smile. It gives us complete peace of mind knowing our children are not only well cared for but genuinely cared about.
We cannot recommend her highly enough. She always goes above and beyond and we are so grateful for the love and patience that she shows. She truly is exceptional at what she does. Our children will forever hold a special place for her in their hearts.

Nawal has been the childminder for both of our boys, and we truly could not have asked for anyone better. She is incredibly loving, gentle, and genuinely devoted to the children in her care. From the very beginning, she created such a warm and nurturing environment that made our boys feel safe, happy, and excited to spend time with her.
She is wonderfully hands-on — always engaging them in activities, encouraging their development, and giving them so much individual attention. It’s clear how much she cares, and that care shines through in everything she does.
Knowing they are not only safe, but truly loved and well cared for, has meant the world to us. We are so grateful to have had Nawal as such an important part of our boys’ early years.
