About Me
We are a two mom family with two daughters, Cooper age 4 and Marley age 7. We moved to Edinburgh from the United States last June and are loving getting to explore our new city! The girls both love imaginary play, arts and crafts, soft plays, parks, museums, riding bikes and scooters, bookstores and libraries, and are always up for an adventure!
My wife works from home as an accountant and I work for a charity. We are an easy going family who are excited to welcome a dependable, friendly, and upbeat sitter to our schedule so the girls can enjoy their time after school while we finish up work.
My Requirements
The primary goal is a safe, fun transition from school to home. Specific responsibilities include:
* Prompt School Pick-up: Collecting both girls from Stockbridge Primary at 2:45 PM sharp.
* The "Commute": Supervising the 20-minute walk from school to our home in Broughton. This requires someone who is safety-conscious near roads and can keep a 4-year-old motivated and moving!
* Activity & Play: Once home, engaging the girls with screen-free activities such as drawing, reading, or playing in the garden/living area.
* Snack Prep: Preparing simple, healthy after-school snacks and ensuring they tidy up their plates afterward.
* Swimming Escort (Wednesdays): Walking the girls to their local swim lesson (10 mins away), assisting with the quick change into gear if needed, and walking them back home.
* Parent Handover: Providing a brief update at 4:45 PM (or 6:15 PM on Wednesdays) regarding how the afternoon went and any school notices.
