My Experience

As a parent to a 7-year-old child, I have practical, day-to-day experience raising and caring for a child from infancy through the early years. Parenting has equipped me with strong organisational skills, patience, and the ability to manage responsibilities consistently.

I worked for two years as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, supporting pupils with their learning and overall development. In this role, I followed safeguarding procedures to ensure children’s safety.

I have also provided childcare for my niece and for children belonging to family members and friends. This has included supervising activities, preparing simple meals, assisting with schoolwork, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring children are safe and engaged. Through this experience, I have developed trustworthiness, reliability and the ability to adapt to different family expectations.

My Qualifications

BSc (Ed) in Sociology: Provides a strong foundation in understanding social development, behaviour, and effective communication with children and families.
Prevent Awareness Certificate: Trained to identify and respond to signs of radicalisation.
Child-on-Child Abuse Certificate: Knowledgeable in recognising and preventing abuse among children.
Safeguarding & Child Protection Certificate: Skilled in ensuring children’s safety and welfare in various settings.
Preventing Radicalisation Certificate: Able to support children and young people in safe, secure environments.
Health & Safety Certificate: Knowledge of maintaining safe and hygienic environments.
Safeguarding Certificate: Comprehensive understanding of child protection policies and best practices.
