About Me

Hi, I’m Vanesa, a warm, reliable, and highly professional nanny with a BSc in Psychology and extensive experience caring for babies and young children in private households. I am passionate about supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, development, and daily routines through a calm, nurturing, and structured approach.

I have strong experience with infants and toddlers, including sleep routines, sensory play, language development, and age-appropriate activities that support key developmental milestones. Families often describe me as emotionally intelligent, proactive, and very attuned to each child’s individual needs. I remain calm under pressure and create a safe, loving environment where children feel secure, understood, and encouraged to thrive.

My psychology background allows me to better understand behaviour, support emotional regulation, and work confidently with children who may have additional needs such as ADHD, speech delays, or sensory sensitivities. I also enjoy guiding parents with gentle, evidence-informed strategies while always respecting their parenting style and household values.

I am organised, discreet, and hands-on, happy to support with nursery duties, child-related cooking, planning engaging activities, and travelling with families when required. My goal is always to provide consistent, high-quality care while bringing warmth, professionalism, and positive energy into the home.

My Experience

I have extensive experience working with babies and young children within private households, including UHNW families. I have cared for children from infancy through early years, supporting sleep routines, weaning, potty training, language development, and emotional regulation.

I am confident managing multiple children at different developmental stages and working alongside parents, PAs, and other household staff. I create structured yet nurturing routines, plan engaging developmental activities, and ensure a calm, organised environment.

I also have experience supporting children with additional needs, including ADHD, sensory sensitivities, speech delays, and emotional regulation challenges. Families describe me as calm, emotionally intelligent, proactive, and highly professional.

My Qualifications

I hold a BSc in Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society. My academic background allows me to understand child development, attachment, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing at a deeper level.

I have continued professional development in areas such as emotional regulation, attachment-informed care, trauma awareness, and neurodiversity.

My psychology training, combined with hands-on childcare experience, allows me to provide both nurturing care and evidence-informed support.

My Availability

I am currently available for full-time, part-time, rota, or temporary positions. I am open to live-in or live-out roles and happy to travel with families if required.

I am flexible, reliable, and committed to providing long-term stability and high-quality care for the right famil

My Fees

  • Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
  • Nannying from £27.00 per hour (gross)

My fees reflect my professional experience, psychology background, and the level of structured, high-quality care I provide. For standard nanny roles in London, my rates typically vary per hour depending on the schedule, responsibilities, and number of children. For full-time roles, I am open to discussing a competitive annual salary aligned with market standards and the scope of the position.

For rota or UHNW private household roles, fees are negotiated based on hours, travel requirements, overnight support, and level of discretion and flexibility required. Live-in roles with separate accommodation and travel expectations are considered within a bespoke package.

I also offer specialised developmental support, sleep guidance, and parent coaching sessions, which can be discussed separately depending on the family’s needs. I am open to tailoring my fees to reflect long-term commitments, travel, and additional responsibilities to ensure the best possible support for the family and children.
