About Me
My name is Abi and I live in Kingswood, Hull with my husband and our primary school aged daughter.
I established Kingswood Nature’s Nest to bring together my professional experience in children and family services with my strong commitment to high-quality, relationship-led early years care.
As both a professional and a parent, I understand the level of trust involved when placing your child in someone else’s care. Building strong, respectful, and open relationships with families is at the heart of my practice. I believe children thrive when parents and carers work together with honesty, warmth, and shared understanding.
Our home provides a diverse and culturally inclusive environment. We value and celebrate mixed heritage, different cultures, family backgrounds, and traditions. Diversity is positively reflected through our resources, everyday conversations, celebrations, and learning experiences, fostering respect, kindness, and inclusion from an early age.
We also have a gentle, cuddly family dog who is fully vaccinated and accustomed to being around children. Children’s safety and comfort are always prioritised, and interactions are carefully supervised.
Both my husband and I hold enhanced DBS checks, offering families reassurance about the safety and suitability of our home environment.
My Experience
I have led and managed services supporting babies, children, young people, and families, including early years provision. Through this work, I have supported children at different stages of development and understand how important secure relationships, emotional wellbeing, and consistency are in helping children thrive.
My experience has given me strong knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and working in partnership with families. I have worked closely with professionals from a range of services to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time.
This professional background shapes the way I run Kingswood Nature’s Nest. I combine high standards, strong safeguarding practice, and thoughtful organisation with a warm, nurturing, and child-centred approach.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I provide high-quality, home-based childcare in a small, nurturing setting, caring for a maximum of three children to ensure individual attention and personalised care.
A full day includes structured activities, learning opportunities, outdoor play, and a warm home-from-home environment that supports your child’s development.
Full Day Care
7:00am – 6:00pm
£70 per day (All Inclusive)
Morning Session
7:00am – 12:00pm
£35 per session
Afternoon Session
1:00pm – 6:00pm
£35 per session
Flexible pick-up and drop-off times can be arranged outside the standard sessions at £10 per hour.
