About Me
I offer a caring, reliable and engaging childcare service, with a strong focus on creating a safe, fun and supportive environment for children. I am currently studying Primary Education at the University of Northampton, which has given me a solid understanding of child development, behaviour, learning through play and the importance of routine. I love working with children and naturally build positive, trusting relationships with them. I enjoy planning creative activities such as arts and crafts, imaginative play, reading and simple learning games to support their development while keeping them happy and engaged. I am also very active and enjoy playing football and going to the gym, so I am more than happy to support outdoor play, active games and trips to the park where appropriate. I am responsible, patient and organised, and I always put a child’s safety, wellbeing and happiness first. I aim to support families by providing dependable care that they can feel confident in, while giving children a warm, stimulating and nurturing space to grow.
My Experience
I have gained valuable experience caring for and working with children in both school and family settings. As part of my Primary Education degree at the University of Northampton, I have completed teaching placements in a primary school, where I supported lessons, worked with small groups, helped with behaviour management and built positive relationships with pupils. I have also completed work experience at Ecton Brook Primary School, assisting with classroom activities, reading, organisation and general day-to-day support. Alongside this, I regularly look after children within my family, helping with routines, playtime, meals and supervision. These experiences have helped me grow in confidence, patience and understanding, and have strengthened my ability to care for children in a calm, nurturing and responsible way while making sure they feel safe, supported and happy.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying Primary Education at the University of Northampton, where I am developing a strong understanding of child development, learning through play, behaviour management and safeguarding. I have completed my A Levels in English Literature, Politics and Religious Studies, which have helped me build strong communication, critical thinking and empathy skills. I have also achieved my GCSEs, which provided a strong academic foundation and helped me develop organisation and responsibility. I also hold a current Enhanced DBS check, which is available upon request, giving families extra peace of mind that their children are in safe and trusted care.
My Availability
I am available on a flexible basis as my university timetable changes weekly. However, I receive my schedule in advance and am always happy to plan my availability around your needs. I am reliable, organised and communicative, and I will always give plenty of notice of any changes. I am happy to discuss regular days and times where possible, as well as occasional adjustments when needed.
