Hi my names Tessa, I am a caring, reliable, and experienced childcare professional with a background as a Nurse and a proud mum to two children. I currently work in a SEN School supporting children with additional needs. My professional training and personal parenting experience has given me a calm, confident, and nurturing approach to caring for children of all ages.
Having a medical background, I bring a strong understanding of child health, safety, development, and emotional wellbeing, along with excellent first aid skills and the ability to remain calm and reassuring in any situation. I am attentive, patient, and highly organised, ensuring children are always safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
As a mum, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, kind, and dependable to care for your children. I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, creative play, outdoor adventures, homework support, and healthy meal preparation.
I pride myself on building strong, positive relationships with both children and parents, maintaining open communication and respecting each family’s routines, values, and preferences. I am flexible, punctual, and committed to providing the highest standard of care.
Above all, I am passionate about helping children grow in confidence, independence, and happiness, while giving parents complete peace of mind.
My Experience
I currently work in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, supporting children with a wide range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, sensory processing challenges, and emotional and behavioural needs. This role has strengthened my ability to be patient, adaptable, understanding, and highly attentive to each child’s individual requirements.
This experience has deepened my understanding that every child is unique, and I tailor my care to suit their personality, strengths, and challenges. Parents can feel confident knowing their child will receive gentle, compassionate, and knowledgeable care, whether they have additional needs or simply benefit from extra patience and understanding.

My Availability
I’m flexible and can offer emergency childcare if needed
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
Fees vary based on the child/ren’s needs and the number of children. Mileage is charged at 45p per mile.

Our kids (3&5) have taken to Tessa so quickly. She has a lovely way with them and has been really reliable and flexible. A huge help for us and I would recommend her for childcare work.

First time we had left our kids with non family member. Tessa was great, having a call to confirm details and meet the children (6 and 8) ahead of time, putting everyone at ease.
She arrived promptly and instantly clicked with the kids. They said they had the best time, played games before bedtime and when can she come back! 😀
