Hello!
I am a friendly, kind and fun babysitter looking for weekend (or morning pre school work) work for the right families who need a happy, helpful and hands on person to look after the littlest and most important people in their lives and ensure they are well cared for and happy. This could be ad hoc or one offs, or I am happy to make a firmer arrangement.
I have 12 years experience looking after children, including as a primary school teacher. I currently childmind for a great family with 2 fantastic kids (school age) during the week for after school care and previous to this, I have been a nanny for several families. I am doing a PHD in psychology and my interests include travel, reading, the gym, cooking and socialising. I live in Elephant and Castle, so very central, but happy to travel (London area).
I believe I am responsible, dedicated and sensible, whilst also being fun, laidback and independent. I am friendly and relaxed but happy to support any family rules in the household and 'muck in'. I really enjoy working with children and have gained much insight and understanding during my time both as a nanny and a teacher, as well as during my psychology PHD. Childcare is a very rewarding job working in partnership with children, their parents and family and being able to assist and observe children grow is satisfying and enjoyable. I have formed lots of great bonds which I continue to stay in contact with.
