My Experience

I am an experienced childcare practitioner with hands-on experience working in nurseries, after-school settings, and private babysitting. I previously worked as a Nursery Assistant supporting children aged 2–4, where I also held Key Worker responsibilities. This included completing observations and developmental assessments, planning activities in line with the EYFS framework, and working closely with parents to support each child’s individual learning journey.

I have also worked in after-school clubs with children up to age 12 and provided 1:1 support for a child with autism and ADHD, adapting activities to ensure inclusion and positive behaviour support. Alongside my professional roles, I have babysitting experience where I plan engaging activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor trips, and baking, as well as preparing healthy meals and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.

I am Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene trained, and I am passionate about supporting children’s confidence, development, and wellbeing through fun, structured, and caring support.

My Qualifications

I hold Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, and Risk Assessment certifications, ensuring I am fully trained to prioritise children’s safety, wellbeing, and health at all times. While I do not currently hold a formal childcare qualification, I have gained practical experience working in nursery and after-school settings, including Key Worker responsibilities such as completing observations and developmental assessments in line with the EYFS framework. I also hold a Level 3 Diploma in Business and Administration (Distinction), which has strengthened my organisational, communication, and record-keeping skills — all valuable within a childcare setting.
