Ginni
Nanny in London
My Summary
About Me
Reliable and compassionate childcare professional with 2 years' experience supporting children aged 1-18 in their cognitive, social, and educational development. Trained in Baby & Child First Aid (including CPR and choking response), safeguarding and child protection. Committed to promoting wellbeing, positive behaviour, and a safe, nurturing environment.
My Experience
Over the past couple of years, I have gained a range of experiences, working with
children of all different ages. In my role at the nursery, I supported children under
5 in reaching key developmental milestones by planning activities that promoted
emotional, social, and cognitive growth. These included myself organising outings
to the park, library, and beach, as well as activities like painting, yoga, make-
believe play, and sensory play. I was involved in taking comprehensive care of
children, from preparing nutritious meals to helping their emotional development
through consistent and safe relationships. I learnt how to cater to their needs,
building trust and helping them feel comfortable. This involved assisting with
feeding, napping, potty training and encouraging them to develop a sense of
independence through small tasks. Additionally, I have a good understanding of
the safe way to prepare foods to prevent choking hazards.
As a Teacher's Assistant in the primary school, I supported children with their
academic lessons, homework and social skills, while working closely with the
teachers to create a structured learning environment. I had the opportunity to
assist children with their reading, writing and numeracy work and fostered their
confidence during one-on-one sessions. Additionally, I volunteered at a
community youth project, working with primary and secondary school children. I
helped lead activities designed to foster communication, teamwork, and
resilience, such as arts & crafts, board games, and sports. During school holidays, I
also organised trips, like visits to the Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, providing
enriching experiences for children in a deprived area of the city.
These diverse experiences have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to
transition smoothly into a nanny role, with the ability to support children’s
development and well-being across different age groups.
