Hello! My name is Caley, and I’m a passionate and experienced childcare professional with almost 12 years of hands-on experience caring for children from birth to 8 years old. I’m originally from the UK and moved to the United States as an au pair, where my love for early childhood education truly flourished. I am planning to move back to the UK after finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Care at a university in Boston. Getting my degree has allowed me to combine practical experience with up-to-date educational knowledge. I pride myself on being warm, fun-loving, and nurturing, while also maintaining a structured, organised, and reliable approach to childcare.
I believe children thrive best in environments where they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them. I’m known for being hard-working, dependable, and attentive, always putting children’s well-being and development first.
Outside of childcare, I love to travel and read, interests that I often bring into my work by introducing children to new cultures, stories, and ideas in age-appropriate and engaging ways.

My Experience
My childcare journey began as an au pair in California, where I spent two years caring for a 7 year old girl (2014-2015) and 3 children ranging from newborn to 4 years old (2015-2016). This experience allowed me to build a strong foundation in daily routines, child development, and family communication, while also adapting to a new country and culture.
From 2016 to 2018, I worked as a full-time nanny in London for families with children ages 1-8 years old, supporting them with structured routines, school readiness, and engaging, age-appropriate activities. This role strengthened my organisational skills and my ability to provide consistent, reliable care in fast-paced households.
In 2018, I returned to the United States as an au pair in Michigan, later transitioning into a nanny role for the same family. I have continued working with this family as a nanny in Boston from 2018 to the present whilst getting my bachelors degree, providing long-term, consistent care and growing alongside the children through multiple developmental stages. Remaining with the same family for several years reflects my commitment, reliability, and the strong bonds I build with both children and parents.
Alongside my professional childcare roles, I have also gained valuable experience working in a kindergarten classroom while completing my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Care. This classroom experience has strengthened my understanding of early learning frameworks, child development milestones, and creating inclusive, engaging learning environments, these are skills that I bring into my nanny and childcare work every day.
Together, my in-home and classroom-based experience allow me to provide well-rounded, thoughtful, and developmentally appropriate care tailored to each child’s needs.
My Qualifications
I have my bachelors degree I early childhood education and care from Cambridge College in Boston.
My Availability
I am available for full time care Monday through Friday. I am open to the occasional babysitting and overnight shifts, as well as some travel if needed.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
