About Me

I am a nurturing and calm, yet creative, experienced and resourceful carer. I love to support family life and engage young children in learning in enjoyable ways that capture their natural curiosity as we go about our day, both indoors and out. I am happy to plan ample opportunities for babies and children to develop and explore the world safely with varied outings and activities within the home and beyond, in conversation with you their parents. My time as a mother myself and a primary school teacher has provided me with skills in managing a busy home or classroom, prioritising and addressing different children's needs and liaising with parents about concerns and issues over their child, to reach an agreed way forward. With an outstanding track-record for attendance and a conscientious approach to my work, you can be assured of a dedicated, reliable and personable carer for your baby, child or children.

My Experience

I have raised my own six children into wonderful, loving and capable young people. Additionally, I have fostered a baby from birth, worked with babies in a nursery and had experience of medical care for my own very premature baby. I have previously worked in Europe as a tutor and recently worked as a UK primary school teacher across ages nursery to year 6. In schools and hones, I have taught English, French, Spanish and German to adults, children and teens, so I would be happy to converse, sing or play with your little one in a another language if you would like that.

Prevent, KCSiE training current 2026
Food and nutrition GCSE grade A.

My Availability

I am available for your childcare needs during weekday school hours, plus some additional hours such as before school, after school, evenings or weekends by arrangement, due to my own family responsibilities. I can offer some availability during school holidays and have a full driving licence plus my own car.
