About Me
My name is Mel and I am a 38 year old nanny living in Stevenage with my husband and 2 young children. I hold a level 3 NVQ in children’s care, learning and development. I hold an up to date first aid qualification and enhanced DBS check. I have 20 years experience of working with children aged 0-10 years, including newborn and special needs experience. I describe myself to be calm, compassionate, empathetic, nurturing, fun, creative and attuned to children’s needs. I have an excellent knowledge of child development and am passionate about enhancing children’s learning and life experiences. I am currently looking for a permanent position on a Friday day time, Tuesday evening and Thursday evening. My availability at all other days/ times is on an Ad-hoc basis. My Experience
I have gained 20 years experience of working with children aged 0-10 years in a variety of settings including schools, nurseries, crèches, after school clubs, nannying and babysitting. I have newborn experience and experience of working with children with special needs including autism, global delay and oral dyspraxia.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ level 3 in childrens care learning and development. I also hold a current paediatric first aid certificate

- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Nannying from £15.00 per hour (net)
My fees are £15 per hour for nannying and £13 per hour babysitting

I have used Mel as a tutor for the last year. She has helped my son come so far with her excellent fun way of learning. I’ve welcomed Mel into my home, I fully trust her with my son.
Her warm welcoming way has helped my son in so many way, he looks forward to seeing her every time
