My name is Cheryl Ford.

I'm 36 years old and I would describe myself as a focused strong, ambitious individual that always wants to better myself in every aspect.
The strengths I feel that I can offer when working alongside your family is I'm caring, confident, creative, enthusiastic, patient and honest which I feel are great strengths to have when working with children.
Children in my care are always well looked after, milestones achieved and always have great fun.
My Experience
I have gained a numerous amount of qualifications and experience working with children since I was 17, gaining my NVQ Level 2 & 3, Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Advanced management degree, first aid, safeguarding training, food hygiene and many more skills and qualifications.
Although my earlier roles were mainly nursery based over the last few years I have been working closely with children and their families offering regular care and very confident in what I do.
I know work in a SEMH School which I absolutely adore.
I feel I have very good knowledge of how to support and nurture the development and well being of children by ensuring they feel safe, happy and always included.
By understanding how each individual child thinks, feels and communicates, I feel enables me to build a strong effective relationship.
In 2015 were I achieved my Level Teaching Assistant Qualification I worked collaboratively with the teacher's providing support within the class room and occasionally worked one to one with individuals or carried out group activities, some of which were planned by myself to support the learning objectives of the lesson.
I was able to show in my role as a volunteer teaching assistant that I can, not only support pupils with additional needs but support the team I work alongside.
In 2017 during my time as a nursery deputy manager I achieved my advanced management degree.
I'm very organised, motivated and committed and I thrive on completing any goals set by myself and others.
I have two children myself, our daughter who is 11 and our son who is 5.
I love our children dearly, they are my world as well as our puppy basset hound Ivy.

Cheryl is a very pleasant and has incredible experience in childcare.
Hired her for a morning when my toddler had a viral infection and she was fantastic with her.
Felt comfortable with her care.
Would definitely recommend her and also have her again.

Cheryl has been the nanny for my daughter for over a year now and I wouldn't change to anyone else. She is such a caring person and is amazing with my daughter Lilia. Cheryl is very interactive with my daughter and gives her all the attention she needs and I feel at ease as I know I'm leaving her in safe hands. I would highly recommend Cheryl if your looking for a loyal and devoted nanny!

I was the typical worried mum about finding someone I didn’t know to have my children. But having two close together, me and hubby absolutely need ‘us’ time!
I wanted someone down to earth, like minded and who id ‘have a glass of wine with’ and Cheryl is all that and much more!
She’s done 3 date days for us now and we have one every month booked till 2022, just wish she had more Saturdays free 🤣
We have been very close with our kids and never left them…so I would worry how they would be, My 2 year old is so excited when she’s coming! She is fun with them, energetic and playful, and follows the routine you set.
Try her you won’t regret it! Although I might if she’s fully booked now!
