About Me
Hello. My name is Jennie and I live in Barming.
I am returning to work January 2026 after maternity leave with our second child.
I live with my husband, who is also my registered assistant on the rare occasion I need an extra pair of hands. He is a managing director of a company so is a busy man but sometimes works from his home office in the garden. We have two children, born Jan 2019 & March 2025. We also have a shy but gentle house cat.
Our home offers lots of space indoors and outside and a gated driveway away from the road.
I have been working in childcare since 2008, starting off in a nursery setting, 13 years as a private nanny and childminding since November 2020.
I care for children from 4 months old up to Primary school age only.
Opening hours 07:30-17:30 Monday-Thursday.
I provide fun activities indoors - messy/sensory play, tuff tray activities, activities and crafts centred around annual events for example Halloween, Christmas etc.
Each week term time I have a different topic for the children to keep things fun fresh and new, providing activities, crafts and books linked to the topic.
Outings to include play parks, country parks, beach days, farms, toddler groups, soft play centres and regular play dates with fellow childminder friends.
Along side 3 of my childminder friends, we run our own exclusive forest school 2 days per week, providing a specialised learning approach that offers children regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences/activities, to explore their surroundings and to allow their imaginations to flourish in a natural woodland environment.
We are also very fortunate to have a well known music company visit my home regularly for fun music, singing and movement sessions that all the children thoroughly enjoy.
There are of course ample opportunities for the children to free play too - this allows the children to freely discover their likes, dislikes, develop friendships, learn independently and have lots of unstructured fun as well.
