About Me

**currently only looking for evening babysitting positions**

I am 32 years old and have recently moved to Horsham. I am fun, caring, loyal and highly motivated in all areas of my life. I take great pride in my work and find nothing more rewarding than seeing the children in my care happy, healthy and thriving.
I have a wealth of knowledge and experience with ages groups ranging from 3 months to 10 years old and have a NVQ level 3 in childcare and development.
I am very passionate about my role as a childcare worker and love to watch children develop and grow through their own learning and experiences. I enjoy getting messy with paint and malleable play, role play games, reading lots of stories, taking the children to varies classes and activities and playing outside in all weather conditions. The children I care for now would say that my favourite activities are going on adventures/bear hunts outside and junk modelling. They like to test my junk modelling abilities by requesting we make more and more elaborate things each time! The latest have been a Quddich pitch and Neverland.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children of all ages and love doing this on a one to one basis, building stronger relationships with the children and their parents.

Background:

I began working with children when I was 17 years old, working as an apprentice in a nursery. I completed my NVQ there and then worked my way up to becoming a senior member of staff. Since than I have worked in other nurseries, extending and developing my knowledge and skills.
In January 2016 I began working as a sole charge nanny for a lovely family in Hove, caring for two little girls (aged 1 and 3 at the time). I loved working with this family and was extremely sad to leave them, but due to relocating I was unable to stay with them. Since then I have continued to work as a sole charge nanny. I am currently working for an amazing family in Horley. I have been with them since April 2018. Now the youngest is happily settled at school, I have begun (reluctantly) my search for a new family in need of my help.
I hold a full, clean driving licence and have done for the past 10 years. I also own my own car which I am happy to use for work. I am Ofsted registered, and accept payment through childcare vouchers.

On Fridays I look after my niece. She is 19months old and I have looked after her since she was 1. I love being able to have our special aunty Taylor days and would ideally like to find a role that could fit around this. Therefore I am looking for a 4 day position but am flexible on which days.

March 2017 - October 2017
Toad Hall Nursery and Pre-school.

I worked at this Nursery for a few months while searching for my next nanny role after relocating from Hove to Crawley.
I was based in the under 3s room and used this as an opportunity to refresh my childcare skills and add to my list of activity ideas.
Whilst working here I was offered the opportunity to apply for a team leader position. But after some careful consideration I decided that Nannying was definitely the career I wanted to pursue.
