About Me
Hello!
My name is Rebekah Holman and I am a 'Good 'graded childminder living and working in Flitwick.
I have over 10 years childminding experience and before that I was a primary teacher, with a special interest in science and design technology.
I have three children including a set of boy/girl twins. I have strong links with the local community, having served on pre-school and PTA committees and as a school governor.
In my care your child will enjoy indoor and outdoor play, creative activities, songs, stories and trips to local shops, parks and the library, as well as to toddler groups. Children up to 5 years old will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. We have monthly or termly themes to guide our activities, which are carefully chosen to reflect and develop children's interests and development stages and we also celebrate various festivals throughout the year.
I have a secure garden for outdoor activities. I have 2 guinea pigs so your child will be able to learn how to care for animals. I also keep a flock of 3 chickens and with your permission, your child can help me collect the eggs. I check the house and garden daily to ensure I provide a safe environment. I also have an allotment nearby, where your child can learn where some of our food comes from, and get involved in planting and growing.
Ofsted inspection November 2015 - graded 'outstanding' in all areas.
My Experience
I am a primary teacher with c 10 years experience. My own 3 children are pretty much grown up and I have been working as a childminder for over 10 years.
I have been a school governor, served on the pre-school commitee and also on the local twinsclub committee. I have helped out regularly at school and pre-school.

Basic hourly rate from £6.00
*Minimum 6 hours per day*
Full Day (8am - 5.30pm) from £54
Before 8am & after 6pm £4.25 per half hour
Late collections £6.00 per half hour

Term-time only and part-time contracts available

Rebekah is one of the best things to happen to our family. She is a very loving childminder and my children have such a strong bond with her.
She has taught them so much. Not just literacy, numeracy, science and nature etc - but their confidence, communication, co-operation and sharing skills have flourished. All this is done in a such a fun way. Rebekah really tunes into my children’s individual interests, and there is lots of play and indoor and outdoor activities based on these. There is also a lovely little community among the children she looks after, and the friendships they’ve formed there are really special.
Rebekah provides the perfect balance of a stable, nurturing routine alongside so much fun and excitement. The children are out and about every single day. The list is endless - zoos, farms, splash parks, museums, libraries, nature walks, picnics etc. We love hearing stories of that day’s adventures from my children and Rebekah also writes a really thorough daily report with pictures so I feel connected.
It is so good to drop them off at a place they are happy and thriving and want to be! We feel very, very lucky Rebekah is in our children’s lives and couldn’t recommend her enough.
