About Me
I'm an OFSTED registered childminder.
I offer 15 - 30 hours Funding. Including the NEW 2 year funding.
I work alongside an assistant Darcey who is also my daughter - Level 2 childcare qualified/DBS/safeguarding & paediatric first aid certificate. We both take regular courses and webinars to keep us up to scratch with ever changing rules and updates needed for ofsted requirements.
I live in East Goscote & have been a childminder since April 2007. I'm married to Roy & have two adult daughters which have now left home and we have 2 grandsons. We have a pet dog called Winston.
I have all the relevant training & courses up to date including First Aid, safe guarding children & health & safety. I am fully insured with Morton Michel.
I hold a full UK clean driving licence but we never use the car as we can get everywhere we need to be on foot / pushchairs.
My Experience
As well as having my own two daughters and grandchildren, have been a childminder since 2007. I look after children aged between 0 months to 10 years. I drop-off/pick-up at Broomfield Primary school, Buzzy Bee's preschool. I offer the NEW 2 year funding alongside the 2 year and 3/4 year funding (15-30 hours)
I treat all the children that come into my home as I treated my own two girls whilst growing up, as individuals as I know from experience that no two children are the same.
I promote good manners and encourage them with independence and school readiness.
I take the children on outings to local parks & into the local community which all the children love & explore. I have equipment to keep the children entertained and engaged whilst playing throughout the day and use a lot of curiosity approach / open ended resource.
We do have “TV & quiet time” with sleeping areas upstairs in a cot or we use the sofa if that’s what the children prefer as a more home from home comfort.
I also have outdoor toys all within my secure locked back garden and we are only 30 seconds to one of the Parks on the village as well as school, library and preschools.
My Qualifications
OFSTED REGISTERED
NVQ level 3 babies and young persons development
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home-based childcare
First Aid
SEND certificate
Experience in working with children with Down syndrome.

Observation, recording & evidence for children 0-3 reference EYFS
Food hygiene certificate
Safeguarding certificate 1 & 2 management level
Health & safety
Fully insured with Morton Michel

REGULAR 2-3/4 YEAR FUNDING 9AM - 3PM MONDAY - THURSDAY (more hours are available subject to our rota and schedule)

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Hours outside of FUNDED hours will be charged at £5.00 per hour. With a consumables charge of £2.50 per day.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Broomfield Community Primary School
