About Me
My name is Sian Glynn and I I am a registerd childmider and live in Waterlooville
I offer a home from home setting and I am not a nursery or pre-school, the children in my setting learn through play. I teach them early life skills whilst having fun.
My partner and i have been together for 31 years. We have a 22 year old daughter ( who is available
for babysitting and can provide references) I have been childminding for nearly 18 years
I started out just working one day a week but have ended up now working 4 days a week KEEPING FRIDAYS AS MY DAY OFF
I am fully insured and vary the day to day things we do to keep the children stimulated, occupied and happy
My latest Ofsted inspection and was awarded Good in my grading which is one down from Outstanding . The inspector was very complimentary about my setting .
I will try to help out with working parents as much as possible to make their working life easier as i know what it's like to be a working parent.
We live in a very safe and modern development, within walking distance of parks and woods to play in.
We have a very safe and secure back garden .
We have a very well stocked play room for girls and boys, the toys are steam cleaned and restocked on a regular basis.
I DO NOT OFFER BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL CARE AND I DO NOT OFFER SCHOOL RUNS
I have chosen Childminding as I like to offer your child a more personal approach rather than busy nursery.
My main aim to to provide your child with a more caring attitude in an environment which is more 1:1 and nurturing, where they will benefit from my personal approach.
As I have stated, I do not want you to feel your child is 'just another number' to me.
Your child will receive much more of a personal approach in the start of their precious life in a very warm, safe and happy home from home experience.

My Experience
I looked after my friends children for many years during my time as Head Veterinary Nurse in a local veterinary practice.
I then left to Qualifiy as a Beauty Therapist.
At present I have various ages of girls and boys in my care ranging from 12 months to 4 years old.
Having had a baby myself I know how to look after newborn and older children.
Being a parent , I know how I would want my daughter looked after - with care + kindness = happy children !
I have excellent references available .
My Qualifications
I am a Qualified Veterinary Nurse,
Beauty Therapist
Registered Child Minder.
I am fully insured
I have undertaken and passed the peadiactric first aid course .
I have passed the level two in Food Safety.

I have under taken and passed the NVQ level three in Childcare
I am now finished the level 3 in Homebased Child and development .
I am an accredited childminder which means I am able to offer the free 15 /30 hours childcare spaces
I am fully insured

My Availability
I start my working day normally around 7.30am and I tend to finish around 5.00pm
I work in the school holidays or term time only if needed.
My Fees
- Childminding from £5.75 per hour
Pricing to be discussed,discount for more than one child.
Fees include nappies, wipes and trips out
I am able to take various vouchers.
My Local Schools

Sian is Simply the Best!
Finding Sian was the best thing that could have happened to our family. Before we discovered her, our son was in a nursery setting, but it wasn’t until he started with Sian at 22 months that we saw his true potential shine. Sian provides more than just care—she creates an environment filled with love, respect, and values. Her focus on teaching good manners, kindness, and creating a safe space for all the children is remarkable.
Over the time our son spent with her, we saw him thrive. Every day he came home excited, sharing stories of the adventures and fun he had with Sian and his friends. Her impact on his life has been immeasurable, and as he now starts school, we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her as part of his early years.
We are so grateful for everything Sian has done for our son. She truly is one of a kind, and we will miss her dearly. Thank you, Sian, for being perfect in every way!

My 4 year old has just finished at Sians house after 2 years and we have Sian to thank for making sure he was ready to embark on his new adventure at school.
I was apprehensive at first as we used a nursery for our eldest but this was the best decision we’ve ever made.
Sian creates a ‘home away from home’ environment so the children feel safe and loved but with the structure of a nursery and the added bonus of outside space and outings. It’s the best of both worlds!
I honestly can’t recommend Sian enough, she’s a massive part of what a polite, well mannered young man my son has become.

Couldn’t ask for a better childminder, my little boy loves going and we have seen a massive difference in him since starting with Sian.
Don’t want him to leave but he starts school in September, would recommend Sian to anyone.
