About Me
Welcome to Nature Tots Childminding – Kingsmead, Northwich in Cheshire ?
Hello and thank you for considering Nature Tots Childminding. My name is Jen, and I am a fully Ofsted registered childminder with over 14 years’ experience, based in Kingsmead, Northwich. I am supported by my wonderful assistant, Jenny, who shares my passion for nurturing children and creating a calm, loving environment where every child feels valued.
At Nature Tots, children are welcomed into my family home, where they feel happy, safe, and secure. When children feel emotionally settled, they are free to explore, learn, and truly thrive, reaching their full potential.

Our Home & Family
Nature Tots is set within a warm and welcoming family home, shared with my husband and our three children aged 14, 12 and 9. Children benefit from access to a spacious, child-friendly downstairs area, thoughtfully arranged to support play, learning and relaxation throughout the day.
We also have two friendly Labradors, two cats, and fish, all of whom are a much-loved part of our setting. The children enjoy learning about caring for animals, helping to nurture empathy, responsibility, and confidence in a gentle and positive way.

Indoor & Outdoor Space
Children have daily access to our large, secure garden, which offers plenty of space for outdoor play, exploration, and nature-based learning. From messy play and gardening to outdoor stories and free movement, the garden is an extension of our indoor learning environment and is used in all seasons.
We also make regular visits to our local allotment, where children enjoy planting, watering, digging and harvesting. These hands-on experiences help children learn where food comes from and encourage respect for the natural world.
Our setting is ideally located in Kingsmead, Northwich, with easy access to local parks, green spaces and nature walks, which form a central part of our outdoor learning approach.
I’m also delighted to say that coming soon: our very own private forest school space, which will further enhance our nature-based learning, outdoor play and forest school–inspired experiences.

Our Ethos
Nature Tots is rooted in a Montessori-inspired and Hygge ethos, with a strong focus on nature, child-led learning, and emotional wellbeing. We believe children flourish when they are loved, listened to, and supported at their own pace.
Our days are calm and unhurried, filled with gentle routines, cosy moments, and meaningful experiences that help children feel secure and confident.

What I Offer
• Full-day care Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
• Term-time only care (39 weeks per year, including inset days)
• All-inclusive daily rate
• Set monthly payments for budgeting ease
• 15 & 30 hours funded childcare accepted for eligible children
• Tax-Free Childcare accepted
I care for children aged 0–4 years, working closely with families to ensure continuity between home and setting.

A Typical Day at Nature Tots
Each day is guided by the children’s interests and developmental needs and may include:
• Nature walks, forest school–inspired play & bug hunts
• Messy play and sensory exploration
• Story time, baking, and imaginative role play
• Movement sessions including Ballet, Mini Dibblers, Jo Jingles & Circus Sessions
• Community outings including Chester Zoo, Marbury Park, Delamere, The Beach & Playgroups
• Seasonal crafts and real-life learning opportunities
No two days are ever the same, but they are always child-led, safe, and rich in learning through play.

Learning & Development
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and track children’s progress using the Baby’s Days system. Parents can view updates, photographs, and developmental milestones at any time, supporting strong partnership working.

My Availability
We provide care services from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m Term Time Only.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Our fees are all-inclusive and cover locally sourced home-cooked, nutritionally balanced breakfast, a 2-course lunch and tea, snacks, and drinks. We also provide all nappies, wipes, our Enrichment Programme, and Outings at no extra cost.
Outside of the regular daily hours, we are open to negotiating later pick-up times.
We recommend a minimum attendance of 2 days per week for children to settle in quickly.
We accept both Government Subsidised Funding for 9 months, 2 year and 3/4 year olds and Tax-Free Childcare. We do not charge any additional fees surrounding for funded hours, so our families benefit fully from the free hours.

My daughter currently goes to Jenny 2 days a week and I could not be more happy with the service Jenny provides. My daughter has so much fun when she is there and always comes home with lots of stories of the activities that they have been doing, lots of fun and educational. Jenny has always been very helpful and reliable during the time georgie has been going to her and I would recommend her to my friends.

My son currently goes to Jen three days a week. I could not be happier with the service she provides. My son gets the opportunity to do lots of messy play, creative activities, go to play group and socialise with other children. His development has increased massively since his time with Jen and the service she provides means we can track his progress and help to progress him onto the next stage. Jen is very caring and my son loves going to her. He always has healthy meals and is welcomed as one of the family. I would highly recommend Jen to anyone.

My son has been going to Jenny since he was 13 months and he absolutely loves it. Jenny offers a safe but fun environment for him and I go to work without worrying as I know he is in safe hands.
The activities are brilliant, I have seen improvements in my sons speech and understanding since being with Jenny. I have also noticed that being with other children has made his confidence grow.
Jenny makes sure she gets out and about with them and keeps me fully updated on what they are doing or done each day. She also sends a online update which is usually waiting for me when I get home from picking my son up- this contains everything I need to know about the day.
I would fully recommend anyone looking for childcare contacts Jenny. She is dedicated to her job and this shows in how hard she works to keep the children entertained with fun but educational activities.

Our daughter has been with Jenny for over 6 months now and we couldn't be happier with the service that Jenny offers. The variety of activities, meals and trips that are offered on a daily basis are excellent. At the end of each day we receive a comprehensive report of Evie's day which is really informative and also includes photographs of the days activities! Jenny is a lovely, caring person and she has taken great care of Evie over the past months.
Sadly due to a change in my job, we have had to make the difficult decision to move Evie to a childminder closer to home. I can't recommend Jenny enough, you can confidently leave you child in her care knowing they will be looked after to the highest standard.
We would like to wish Jenny all the best for the future and if we ever need a childminder in Northwich again she will be the first person we contact :)
