I am registered childminder rated 'good' by Ofsted. I live in the West Bromwich area, close to Stone Cross, Hateley Heath and Sandwell Hospital.
I am married and have five lovely children of my own, three daughters aged 19, 14 and 12, a 7 year old son and a 1 year old daughter.
We live in a new build four-bedroom child friendly house close to All Saints Primary School and St. Mary Magdalene's Primary School and we have plenty to do both indoors and out! We have toys and books appropriate for all ages and a lovely garden with lots of outdooor play equipment, raised beds for the children to grow flowers and vegetables, and a large enclosed deck where even the littlest of children can explore safely and enjoy the fresh air. We also like to get out and about as much as possible, and regularly visit toddler groups, soft play, the library, parks, the woods and farm and attractions further afield such as the zoo and aquarium. Your child will be entertained and stimulated but above all loved and cared for.
I have been a registered childminder for six years and love my job. I have previously worked in a nursery setting with babies and in an out of school club setting, but love the freedom and spontaneity that childminding brings. As a childminder I’ve cared for children from 0-11.
I’m qualified to Level 4 but am studying for a foundation degree in Early Childhood Education, which will be level 5, and perhaps a full honours degree after that.
In addition I have all of the usual qualifications expected of a childminder:
* A full paediatric first aid certificate
* Epipen certificate
* Level 3 safeguarding
* Food hygiene level 2, plus registration as a food premises.
* Level 3 Cache home-based childcare.
* Lots of shorter courses to keep me up to date, often related to the needs of the children I have on roll at the time, or my own interests. For example, PEAL, PEEP, early writing, phonics, glorious boys and outdoor learning.
I am available for both day care and school pick-ups, with hours negotiable - I recognise that it can be difficult to find good quality childcare outside of conventional office hours and am therefore flexible on hours/days dependent on your needs.
My core hours are 6.30-6 at present, but I do open earlier or close later depending on demand.
I am happy to offer babysitting services out of hours for nights out etc at £7ph
I can offer holiday care for school aged children in the school holidays, for £22 per day 8am - 5pm, with extra hours available on request.
