About Me

I am a full-time tutor.

I enjoy helping children reach their full potential. I have taught students from Reception to Year 6, and I also tutor maths from Reception up to GCSE level.

Today, it’s easy to find maths content almost anywhere.
Students and parents can quickly look up formulas, videos, and worked examples online.

But children often find some things more challenging:
They may struggle to understand why maths works, when to use a method instead of just how to use it, and how to connect topics across different units and year levels. They also need to believe they can think mathematically on their own.


In my experience, good maths teaching in primary and secondary school isn’t about covering more content or repeating the same idea. It’s about creating opportunities that help students really understand. These are the moments when students think:

These moments don’t happen just by giving more notes or examples.
They come from making connections between ideas, different ways of showing them, and real-life situations. Content can introduce a skill, but it’s the connections that build confidence and help students think mathematically.
